Congrats to Zihan for his co-first authored paper (likely the best graduation gift) "Unveiling Spatiotemporal Diffusion of Hot Carriers Influenced by Spatial Nonuniform Hot Phonon Bottleneck Effect in Monolayer MoS₂" being published in Nano Letters. 

We collaborated with Prof. Weimin Liu in exploring the hot carrier diffusion dynamics in monolayer MoS₂ by transient absorption microscopy. We found the anomalous "negative diffusion" phenomenon and experimentallly demonstrated its physical origin governed by the hot phonon bottleneck (HPB) effect.
