香港城市大学赵仕俊课题组招聘计算材料相关博士后 Postdoc Recruiment


The group of Dr Shijun Zhao is seeking a Post-doc. Our group belongs to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong. We conduct research in Computational Defect Properties. Specifically, our group aims to understand defect thermodynamics, defect production, defect migration, and defect evolution in different materials under deformation or irradiation conditions. The defects considered include point defects, impurities, dislocations, stacking faults, grain boundaries, surfaces, etc. Different simulation techniques at different scales are concurrently or sequentially employed. Specifically, our recent interest is in high-entropy alloys and novel energy storage and conversion materials. Dr. Zhao has authored and co-authored more than 80 technical papers with more than 3000 citations in the field of computational material science. The successful applicant should have a PhD degree in Physics, Material Science, or a related field, working in computational material science. A background in Machine Learning is highly preferred. The candidate should have demonstrated through his or her dissertation a high quality of research output, ideally with 1-3 papers under revision or accepted for publication in international refereed journals. She/he is expected to conduct independent computational materials related research and also contribute to the ongoing research projects of the group.
