Dr. Yang obtained Ph.D. degree from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS in 2005, and after being an associate professor for five years in Northeast Forestry University, he moved to Eindhoven University of Technology as a postdoc researcher. Since 2013, he becomes a full professor in Southwest University. He has co-authored 134 peer-reviewed papers (125 SCI-cited), 1 book and 8 book chapters. He has been awarded as Excellent Talents of Higher Education in Chongqing and in charge of a number of projects such as Innovative Research Group of Chongqing and National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has delivered speeches in many international and domestic conferences. He serves the editor for Current Chinese Science, PLoS One, Colloid and Surface Science as well as referee for more than 60 international journals (e.g., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、J. Catal.、J. Colloid Interf. Sci.、Appl. Surf. Sci.、Environ. Sci.: Nano、J. Phys. Chem. C).
