In this topic, two elasto-plastic finite element computational frameworks including the conventional framework and the mathematical programming framework are introduced and compared:

-The fundamental computational steps  in the conventional elasto-plastic finite  element computational framework;

-The fundamental computational steps in the conventional elasto-plastic mathematical programming framework;

-A comparison between the conventional framework and the mathematical programming framework;

-Applications of the two computational frameworks.
