Abstract: Mathematical programming methods can be used in conjunction with the finite element method. In this talk, the finite element limit analysis method and displacement finite element method are presented by using mathematical programming method. The effectiveness of the methods will be demonstrated by using the commercial finite element software OptumG2&G3.
