Dr. Pandey's research has centred on screening, early detection and treatment of oral cancer. His aspiration for high quality research for cancer can be seen from his love of science and dedication to producing research in the specialty. Apart from being Editor-in-Chief of WJSO, he has published a total of 330 publications in his area of expertise.
World Journal of Surgical Oncology publishes articles related to surgical oncology and its allied subjects, such as epidemiology, cancer research, biomarkers, prevention, pathology, radiology, cancer treatment, clinical trials, multi-modality treatment and molecular biology. Emphasis is placed on original research articles.

Articles are now invited for a thematic series discussing current evidence and future direction of colorectal cancer. The articles must relate to current and future trends in treatment of colorectal cancer. Surgical innovations, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, tumor targeting and tailoring therapy for colorectal cancer will all be considered.
