  • Introducing the spotlight paper

The editor is pleased to introduce the new feature of Science & Education: the spotlight paper. In collaboration with Springer, Science & Education will provide free open access to one selected paper for eight weeks in each issue. The editor-in-chief will choose a paper based on reviewers' comments, focusing on either exceptional praise for the paper's quality or recognition of significant improvements made in response to the reviewers' feedback that resulted in a high-quality publication. The selection will also consider the potential for sparking stimulating discussions within the science education community and the originality of the manuscript. The editor-in-chief may also prioritize an understudied or emergent topic to be in the spotlight.
