主要进行人工微结构材料中量子光学问题的研究,包括人工微结构材料的电磁特性；宏观量子效应如自发辐射、卡西米尔力、量子纠缠等的调控；全光量子器件包括光开关、全光二极管、三极管、逻辑门、单光子源等的设计与优化
