个人简介

Prof. Tian is a Professor in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at Nanjing University, and also serves as a research scientist in the State Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Life Science and the Chemistry and Biomedicine Innovation Center in Nanjing University. He obtained his Doctoral Degree from Stony Brook University (2015) and then moved to Brookhaven National Laboratory for his postdoctoral research prior to joining the faculty in Nanjing University (2017). Now he runs a laboratory with research interests in structural DNA nanotechnology involving in superstructure engineering based on colloidal particles and DNA molecules, fabrication of artificial materials templated by DNA structures and corresponding properties in nanooptics and disease therapy.

研究领域

Our lab focuses on the precise construction of superstructures mediated by DNA molecules and further exploration of corresponding tailored properties induced by given structures. The booming evolution of structural DNA nanotechnology has imbued DNA molecules with unique properties based on the canonical Van Der Waals interaction between DNA duplexes. This tremendous conceptual leap has spawned extensive investigations on DNA self-assembly process by employing DNA strands as building components and established the novel understanding in the salient features possessed by DNA, and that is the underlying feasibility for accessing to our goal.
