西南农业大学（现西南大学）农学学士学位（1983）、硕士学位（1986）和博士学位（1996）。 1998.10-2000.9日本九州大学生物系遗传学研究室博士后 2002.02-2004.1日本东京大学农学部生物统计学与生物信息学实验室JST研究员 2004.02-2006.1英国伯明翰大学生物科学学院研究职员。 2006年全职回国服务，2008年国务院特殊津贴获得者。 1986年7月-2006年1月西南农业大学农学系讲师、副教授、教授 2006年2月-2007年12月西南大学蚕学与系统生物学研究所二级教授、博导； 2008.1至今重庆大学生命科学学院副院长，二级教授，博士生导师。
