真核生物基因组的大部分基因家族组成庞大,众多家族成员拷贝为何能在进化历程中被保留,功能上有何意义,功能分化的机制又是什么?不同生物类群和不同类基因家族在这些层面上有何进化特点?我们利用基因组学、生物化学和分子生物学等多学科研究手段,在蛋白质结构和功能层次上揭示基因家族的形成、维持和功能分化的分子机制,探讨植物基因组进化的模式,并揭示植物适应性进化的分子机制。
