Development of synthetic methods Our research is focused on the synthesis of complex molecular architectures, in particular naturally occurring substances with novel structural features and interesting biological function, and developing new methods that are relevant to the total synthesis of natural products. Taking advantage of the research environment at PKUHSC, we are exploring the medicinal potential of newly synthesized natural products and analogs thereof, and increasingly integrating molecular pharmacology and biochemical aspects into our research program.
