个人简介
曾获荣誉：
2019-12-30 当选： 卢惠霖优秀教师奖
中南大学基础医学院生理学教授、医学博士、博士研究生导师，中南大学教学名师。湖南省新世纪121工程人才，湖南省生理科学会理事长，美国南加州大学访问学者。曾任中南大学研究生院副处长，现任中南大学基础医学院副院长。
主持国家自然科学基金5项（含重大研究计划1项）、主持教育部博导基金、973项目子课题、国家支撑计划子课题和国家重点实验室重点开放课题等20余项；指导数十名硕士、博士研究生及博士后。
主持国家级精品资源共享课《生理学》（网络课程），主讲国家级精品MOOC《生理学》和国家级精品视频公开课《人体机能探索》等课程，主持省级教改课题等20余项，获省级教学成果一等奖等；主编、参编科研专著与教材40余本。指导本科生获全国大学生基础医学创新论坛暨实验设计大赛一等奖和全国大学生挑战杯二等奖等。是中南大学首届研究生与大学生评选的“同学最喜爱的老师”。
近年来在四川大学、新疆医科大学、南华大学、安徽医科大学、广西医科大学、西南交通大学、山西中医药大学、湖南师范大学、湖南农业大学、湖南医药学院、山西警察学院、山西能源学院、山西传媒学院、宜春学院和中南大学等高校作“国家自然科学基金申报感悟”的专题讲座。结合项目申请人与评审专家，从科研项目申报、科研思路拓展与基础项目培育等角度提出建设性意见，获得高度好评
