1978.09-1982.07 扬州师范学院物理系，获理学学士； 1982.08-1985.07 中科院等离子体物理研究所等离子体物理专业, 获理学硕士； 1985.08-1987.08 中科院等离子体物理所等离子体物理专业，攻读博士学位； 1987.09-1988.03 中国科技大学，德语培训； 1988.04-1991.09 德国维尔茨堡（Wuerzburg）大学物理系激光物理和气体动力学专业，获理学博士； 1991.10-1993.05 德国维尔茨堡（Wuerzburg）大学博士后； 1993.06-1996.09 中科院等离子体物理研究所，副研究员； 1996.10-1998.12 中科院等离子体物理研究所，研究员； 1999.01-2005.02 中科院等离子体物理研究所，研究员，托卡马克物理实验室主任； 2005.03－至今 中国科学院等离子体物理研究所，研究员，所长。 长期从事等离子体物理诊断和实验研究，在HT-7超导托卡马克物理实验中获系列重大成果。包括：1、诊断发展：光谱测量：10多套。辐射测量：SX-XUV、AXUV阵列。边界探针：两套，多种位型。电磁测量：整套（HT-7正在研制）。能谱阵列：HX两套，SX单道（多道在研）。HT-7U诊断初步方案和布局。2、物理研究：杂质行为：杂质输运、涨落、再循环。约束输运：HT-6M边界OH加热、 HT-7 IBW约束改善、波波协同、壁处理前后。边界行为：湍流机制、Zonal流。粒子再循环：谱形分析、再循环机制。与壁相互作用：杂质抑制、边界条件。发表论文超过50篇。曾获安徽省科技进步一等奖、中科院科技进步二等奖。
