现任华南理工大学材料科学与工程学院，教授，博士研究生导师, 院长，特种功能材料教育部重点实验室副主任； 2001.11～2002.3：日本新泻大学客座教授； 1995.5～2001.8: 日本八户工业大学和新泻大学土木系客座研究员，日本学术振兴会博士后研究员，助理研究员； 1993.12～1995.4: 武汉理工大学材料系，副教授； 1988.9～1993.11: 武汉理工大学材料系，讲师； 1986.9～1988.8: 武汉理工大学材料系，助教。
