Dr. Cheung authored a monograph Women’s Ritual in China: Jiezhu (Receiving Buddhist Prayer Beads) performed by Menopausal Women in Ninghua, Western Fujian (New York: Edwin Mellen, 2008). Her major research interests are ritual theory, religious and gender studies.
