现任中国水土保持学会常务理事、南方水土保持研究会副理事长、江苏省水土保持学会副理事长、《中国水土保持科学》副主编、水利部《全国水土保持规划》编制工作技术咨询专家、《水土保持学报》编委等。
主持或参加973项目、国家支撑计划、中科院知识创新工程重大项目、国家重点基金项目、国家自然科学基金、STS等科研项目20多项。近年来在国内外期刊发表论文90余篇，主编或参编专著7部，曾2次获中国水土保持学会水土保持科学技术一等奖、中国水土保持学会水土保持突出贡献奖、浙江省水利科技创新三等奖、江西省水利厅科技成果一等奖、江西省农科教成果推广应用奖等。
