Dr.MaoWeijian,professorinvitedspeciallyandselectedbyRecruitmentProgramofGlobalExperts,PhDsupervisor,directorofcenterforcomputationalandexplorationgeophysics,activememberofCGS,EAGEandSEG,reviewerofseveralinternationaljournalsofgeosciences.Hehad27yearsoversearesearchexperienceswithTriesteUniversityinItaly,LeedsUniversityinUKandSchlumbergerinUKandUSA.Heisinterestedincomputationalandexplorationgeophysics,includingseismicwavefieldmodeling,imagingandinversionforoil-gasexplorationandcrustalstructure,waveforminversionforearthquakesourceparametersandruptureprocessing,crustdefirmationanditsdynamicprocessing.Hehaspiblishedmorethan40scientificpapersandover10industrialreports.
在国际一流杂志上公开发表了40多篇论文.外加数十份工业内部报告.
1980.09-1985.09：在中国率先从事海洋负荷潮汐的理论和应用研究.
1985.10-1989.05:对地球物理的正,反演问题作了系统性的研究.
1989.06-1994.08：从事地震和地球动力学过程的研究.求解非弹性地球运动方程，高频理论地震图计算和地震波形反演震源位置和破裂过程的理论和应用.
1994.09-1997.08：从事与能源开发有关的高科技前沿问题研究:包括多分量波形数据分析,三维各向异性射线追踪,多震相三维层析成象,宽带偏振滤波.
1997.09-2012.04:在斯伦贝谢西方奇科主持和参与了数个与复杂地层地震成像有关的前沿性研发项目，例如:先进的高斯波束叠前深度偏移，自动信号拾取和建模，三维速度层析成象，面偏移与反偏移,深度域油储属性反演等.
2012年4月回到中科院测地所组建计算与勘探地球物理研究中心，继续进行超深层,非常规,复杂地质构造地震成像和反演研究.
