主要从事天体化学的研究，探讨太阳系的形成和演化。通过陨石中球粒和包体等组分的Al-Mg、Re-Os、Mn-Cr同位素体系研究, 探索太阳系的成因模式，揭示太阳星云演化历史。通过对地球岩石的Mg同位素组成和分布研究，了解地球的化学分异和演化过程。目前的研究项目和研究兴趣主要涉及南极陨石的分类和研究、陨石和地球岩石的Mg同位素、Re-Os同位素以及Mn-Cr同位素等的研究。
